FROMAGE is an informal research group focusing on authigenic processes in the marine realm, which is hosted by SEPM. Research includes such different topics as

• The genesis of phosphate-rich sediments and phosphorites
• The microbial involvement in authigenic processes
• Geochemical processes leading to the accumulation of
  metal-rich sediments
• Early diagenetic changes in marine sediments
• Authigenesis as a sink of important biophile elements
